Following the relaxation of COVID-19 Government travel controls and requirements, we are suspending our bespoke travel assistance program and closing the Aura Assistance website effective 17th August 2022. All customers who have purchased and hold a valid Aura Assistance policy, please rest assured that your existing coverage and benefits are unaffected by this announcement and there are no changes to our terms and conditions.
We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers and partners across our 27 Caribbean destination countries. Over the last 2 years, we have we have provided nearly 100,000 visitors and tourists with comprehensive health assistance. We are proud to have successfully and safely serviced hundreds of medical assistance claims, including quarantine and medical repatriation. Customer wellbeing and health will always be at the forefront of our operation.
Aura Assistance has developed into a market leading travel assistance plan, along with a state of the art website and customer experience platform. With help from our partner members and supporting customers, we have together delivered a sustainable solution that enabled the safe reopening of Caribbean tourism doors during the COVID-19 climate. Not only did this inject much needed confidence into the tourism industry, but was also paramount at alleviating the financial threat COVID-19 imposes on small Island health infrastructures.
